MR Don Angelosante

Don Angelosante has protected the Goulburn community for over 40 years serving as captain with Big Hill Fire Brigade, and currently as deputy captain with Marulan Bush Fire Brigade.

After seeing many lives lost, Don obtained his first aid certificate in order to attend to victims of car accidents along the Hume Highway. He has often been the first official at an accident and administered treatment to many local motorists as a crew leader and safety and first aid volunteer.

Don also volunteers with the Goulburn Police Community Youth Club, mentors children in a range of sports and coordinates community clean-ups and working bees. Each year, as a fire wise facilitator, Don travels to schools and teaches over 1,200 children fire safety and the importance of dialling 000 during an emergency.

“I love giving back to the community that has been my home for the past 40 years. It is so important for kids to know the importance of fire safety and I feel it is my responsibility to educate them on this,” said Don.
